RDA vs. Alvarez Pre-Fight Analysis+Poll

RDA cos alvarez isn't that great. But if bisping can beat rockhold then anything can happen
 
RDA for me too strong, too well rounded, too determined to prove he's the best LW fighter at this time....

Even though I had Bisping I was betting on Rockhold's arrogance & cockiness being his downfall, no such ego struggles with RDA...

Hope we see the Brawler version of Alvarez, not the wall&stall one...

Idk I got a funny feeling eddie is going to be a bad match up for rda. Eddie doesn't fold mentally the way most of rda's recent conquests do when the shit hits the fan. I'm guessing this ends up being a 5 round war. I'm liking Eddie's chances here and going with him. This going to be a great fight
 
I think RDA. Alvarez can still win this, but he need to show up with his best form, because shit that worked on Pettis, won't work here.
 
RDA will probably win but Eddie is a warrior I will be rooting for him
 
I expect this fight to look like the second Chandler fight and I think Eddie will win a close decision or get a late TKO. It's going to be a war, Eddie isn't going to want to grapple much with RDA.

I think Eddie matches up with RDA well, he just needs to fight to his strength in this matchup which is his striking, using his footwork and speed to hit RDA and exit on an angle. I think it's going to be similar to the Chandler fights.
 
RDA starts too explosive and animalistic, he's gonna put away or hurt Alvarez early and Eddie's gonna play survival from there.

Two great fighters but one is a bit more measured in his effectiveness while the other is pitbull like in his. I'm taking the pitbull.

I think we are going to see the sprawl and brawl Alvarez, it makes a lot more sense for Eddie to want to strike with RDA than to want to grapple him.
 
I hope Eddie can take it but RDA isn't going to go down without a fight. Should definitely be a good one.
 
I'm pleasantly surprised that most people in here seem to know what Eddie Alvarez brings to the table and haven't only seen him fight 3 or 4 times.
 
I suspect this is gonna be a war. I don't think Alvarez is going to be able to clinch and hold RDA against against the cage. If he's gonna win he's gonna have to get RDA to respect his punches. He's gonna have to bang with RDA. Should be a fun one. I say RDA by TKO in 3rd.
