RDA talks extensively about mcgregor and analyze some of connie's fights

Dude the guy you are talking with is a retarded troll who knows nothing about fighting LOL. You can talk about lateral movement and technical boxing all you want but this moron will come up with shit like RDA is a world destroying assassin of the highest order. You are wasting your time and don't worry he won't be back here after March 5th.

You're right. The dude is a clown that's nothing but a troll. Him and his Leo avatar, that's cute.

yeah, cause RDA will throw caution to the wind like aldo

...
Yeah, I still don't know what the fuck Aldo was doing. He was way too emotional. He ran in with with some serious teen "Give me back my phone!" shit.

One year of provocations, jokes and insults from conor and noob fans, world tour, interviews togheter, having to endure it all quiet because he doesn´t speak english well. Having to endure UFC favouritism for Conor because he sells and he represent a new market (europe) being that he has been the one and only FW champ since WEC. Etc.

That shit gets under your skin. He just wanted to rip Mcgregors big head off. And went full retarded.

And if he doesn´t work his emotions it will happen again if they fight again.

Good post.

RDA will have to punch and kick his way into the clinch, push McG up against the fence preferably, and secure the double (probably while taking elbows to the side of the head). Mendes has that all-american explosive shot, plus he turns the corner beautifully and that's not really something I've seen from RDA. If RDA can't hang with Conor on the feet for extended periods of time, he's going to have a bad night. I think RDA has pretty good defense though, even though he can get a little sloppy with the way he throws his hooks.

Mendes is a decorated wrestler and his shot is great. There haven't been many fighters in MMA with that kind of wrestling shot to get singles and doubles. He does beautifully turn the corner, can transition from a single to a double with ease, go high with a body lock and get the slam, run the pipe, chain wrestle, everything you'd expect a high level wrestler to be able to do. RDA's wrestling is good (for MMA) but pretty basic.

One thing that is noticeable about RDA though is that he telegraphs his punches a lot. Robin Black mentioned this on Rogan's podcast recently and he said that he doesn't like criticizing fighters at all but it's something he can't not notice and just forget about. With a striker as lethal as Conor (or Wonderboy, nice AV btw), you can't afford to telegraph your shots. Both guys will absolutely need to be on their A game on the 5th because they're both strong finishers and powerful, athletic fighters.

but its in portuguese. 17 min

basically says that mcgregor fights focused in his straight left, is accurate with it, hes open to kicks, dustin was too emotional coming in to the fight
he likes to counter with his straight left, so you just have to wait. we're (RDA) gonna have a gameplan for that

that chad made a terrible mistake by basically only circling to mcgregor's left, and when he circled to the right is when he was most successful in the fight (and that it was a rookie's mistake). chad commited mistakes on the ground too, that he doesnt know how to have proper posture on the ground (?), how to pass guard. when he went for the lame ass guillotine, he had to stabilize his half guard (something like that)

he says he cant shy away from his game, his pressuring style

that aldo tried something that is used a lot against southpaws (straight to the chest and cross with the lead hand (i think thats it) but mcgregor countered it, that mcgregor seems to have studied it. that it was a sad day to everyone
that poeple text him and call him to say "kill kill kill", that you cant take it to the octagon. that if you listen to it and specially in fight week, that can change your mind. that you need to be focused in the octagon

he prefers to submit him in this fight, that it has been a long time since he submitted someone in a fight

he wont waste an opportunity to end the fight, but if he sees that hes completely dominating the fight and that he damaged him a lot in the first round and if he (RDA)'s able to take it to the secound round he will like coast a bit (he kinda like doesnt complete his thought, he says that like he wants to put a beating on mcgregor, make him suffer and all that but then he says like at the end of the rounds he will like put the pressure up and punish him at the end of each round. not sure i got it, if he was the one that didnt say it correctly or if him just stupid)

--

nothing much besides that, but maybe i missed something and some mistranslated stuff, but
he talks about having fear, about how he behaved on the press conference, but nothing really important, not that much, at least

Thanks for this insightful translation! It gives us a look into RDA's mindset.

Next time he rushes in with "GIMMIE BACK MY BELT!" and history repeats itself.

It may very likely happen.

Aldo went back home straight back to training boxing and BJJ, he can´t keep Mcgregor off his head, wants to fight again asap

He should have go see a theraphist, do some yoga, meditation, alternative therapies, anything that work his emotions, not train more, he is already more well rounded than conor, Aldo has a top all around mma game, in boxing, MT, Wrestling and BJJ.

He has to work his mind/emotions. Nova União has a specialist (psychologist) but Dede says Aldo doesn´t want to see him.

Yes.

The karate fighter can either get TKO'd from leg kicks or get ko'd from a knee in the clinch.
Oh, okay. That explains why K-1 never had any champions or top fighters that were karatekas. Wait...

Your ignorance is quite amusing, btw.

I disagree. Aldo was 100% too cocky and overconfident going into that fight, bragging about never watching Conor fight, not needing a gameplan vs a joker like Conor, etc.

The UFC favoritism thing is way overblown. In Brazil, where he lives and trains he is very well known and gets tons of positive attention. I really doubt the UFC's treatment of Conor is something he even paid attention to.

It's as simple as the fact the Aldo is a really confident guy which turned into outright cockiness when Conor started amping things up.

Conor was in his head, but not in the way people think. Conor talked so much that Aldo was absolutely convinced Conor was just a loudmouth clown that he (Aldo) could just walk right through.

Thanks TS!

Guys, give this dude more Likes. He took time to translate that!

For RDA's sake it's good to hear his plan is to submit. I was afraid he would be dumb and not utilize his grappling edge enough.

I don't know if he should be giving away his plan about circling to Conor's right though.

RDA is a really good speaker and an even better fighter. I agree with what he's said.
