He just has to fight McGregor first. Take him down within 30 seconds and choke him out.

Then come into Diaz fight fresh.
 
I would say it's not only possible, but very likely.

I'll be serious, Conor would have a puncher's chance for about a minute, but after that RDA would get in his face and go through him like a hot knife through butter. He has very good cardio so even though he's not likely to finish Diaz, he would still have more than enough in his gas tank to take another one sided decision.
 
Yup. As much as I want Diaz to get the money, if McTapper can't make FW for UFC200, he should be facing Anjos
 
Yeah, he probably could honestly. Dude looked fresh after thrashing Pettis for 5 rounds, didnt look tired at all. Dont think cardio would be a problem here.

RDA is very underestimated. think about it, he himself admitted he's a grappler. His striking improved a lot (he got ko'd the fuck out before :/), and has improved to a point that he beats top strikers at his division. i don't think he has a weak chin or that he avoids engaging in the exchange. if you bang with him that's all he wants, every single shot he throws is a power shot. You try beating that and you can get K.O'd or hurt very fast and he'll be all over you after that. McGregor is a very good striker, we gotta give him that, but it seems like if somemone eats 1 to give him 2 back he is in trouble. i'd put my money on RDA against Conor, Diaz, Alvarez and Ferguson.

Lol do you hear yourself? If he can't make FW, which he has to be able to in order to be called a FW champ, then he deserves a title shot at 155 after getting whooped by an out of shape "skinniest fat guy I ever saw" 155er.
 
McGregor hits like a featherweight, so yes he probably could.
 
Stylewise id say conor mercs him
Diaz was back from like wat..2 years layoff ...id say rematch with rda would be a lot more competitive

We saw him kill Cerrone. Post-USADA Conor gassed in one round if you want to play that game.

That fight was one minute long so you couldn't really tell much. I am a realist and accept conor only has 2 rounds of fury in him at best but still feel he's a handful amd very game.
 
If Diaz actually checks kicks in a rematch, I think the fight goes a lot differently. The leg kicks in the first fight were the main determining factor.

It was, but RDA was moving exactly the same as he was against Pettis. If he was on PEDs and came off of them, more than his cardio, his movement and power would be impaired. Look at all the guys that were on something and came off, like how sloppy they all start to look. RDA had none of that.

Who has put serious damage on RDA? Anyone? Anyone? Not too many guys have given him resistance, specifically in the form of hard strikes. Think about what has happened when Rafa got hit hard by notoriously hard hitters.

Now, has Conor ever had much trouble landing on guys? Sure, Conor had more trouble than usual reaching Nate and hitting him accurately, and I think that can be attributed mostly to Nate's boxing skill and range, but he still hit him a lot and damn hard, causing a decent amount of physical damage.


Styles make fights. Conor did not look himself against Nate. You gotta take these things into account.

You do know that RDA has only 2 sun wins during his time in the UFC right? He armbarred Terry Etim and RNC'd Kamal Shalarus.
