RDA Is STILL A Bad Matchup For Nate

Can we agree on this? RDA's pressure/wrestling/kicks make for a much harder stylistic matchup that Conor does for Nate and it would be hard to see the fight going all that differently. I know Nate didn't seem to care much at the time of their fight, if I'm not mistaken he even came in overweight but man did RDA dominate that fight in a way that doesn't make me confident Nate can really come up with the recipe to take the title from that man.

Is it weird that I think Nate stands a much better chance at taking the belt from Lawler than he does from dos Anjos? What do you guys think?
 
That's how devastating the Conor loss is. Nate Diaz would get handled against the top guys in the lightweight and welterweight division. He's 3-3 his last 6 fights.

He's also 3-1 in his last 4.. Lol. We can spin that either way.
 
So did the casuals announce that Diaz was getting the next title shot at 155 I have not heard ?
 
Lawler is a much better stylistic match-up for Nate. Nate will bait him into a brawl.
 
RDA is bad for anyone and I doubt Nate wants to take "Robbie Lawler punches"
 
Yes because he actually throws low kicks. He is the only fighter in MMA who ever commited to throwing low kicks vs Diaz and surprise he won.

A kick to the temple would knock a lot of people out, Robbie likes to get baited into brawls and Nate has good boxing.

Lawler doesn't use headkicks much.

I disagree. Nate's previous fight with RDA shouldn't be used to judge where he's at now. He did come in overweight because he was injured and could hardly even train.
But he was only making $30 grand a fight at the time so he had no choice but to fight anyway. Diaz would fare much much better in a rematch and who else is there that deserves a shot at 155?

I don't want to have to wait around for khabib vs ferguson. if khabib wins who knows how long it will be until he fights again. And Ferguson is purely unlikable.

RDA still beats him.

But I also think that Nate beats Khabib.

Ferguson I'm not sure. Would be a 5 round war.

Was an injury ever confirmed? I know it was talked about but I don't think we ever got any confirmation about it. And as for a rematch, I'm not saying I don't want to see it and I'm not seeing Nate can't look better than he did that night (It's not hard to look better than that first asswhooping he took) but the way that fight went and contrasting their styles, I don't think Nate has it to beat RDA. But he deserves it more than anyone at the moment. Remember, RDA broke his foot. So either way we have to wait.

I think Nate beats Khabib too. With that BJJ and that long reach.
 
Always been a huge Diaz fan. This is extremely accurate, TS. Nate is too loyal to his camp that he refuses to get insight anywhere else. So the fighter you saw years ago is the same fighter that will retire from the game. Regardless, I'll continue to tune in and cheer for him and his brother.

I believe nate said it in an interview after the fight.
 
Nate still loses to anyone with elite wrestling or anyone who has powerful leg kicks

he would have a good chance against barboza but nate is ranked 5 and after beating johnson and conor should be fighting someone ranked above him

unfortunately Alvarez and Khabib would wrestlefuck him and RDA and Pettis would destroy his lead leg

pettis vs nate would be a fight i would like to see
