Not sure why people bring up Chiesa as he clearly had a cut that was visibly bleeding, regardless of size.

I'd have to imagine no AC would clear him to fight with an open wound.

As for Borg, he's a Manlet so who knows

Fair point, just find it funny how blown out of proportion it was reported as being. Borg on the other hand..

They clearly don't understand that a cut above the eye 2 days before the fight would NEVER get cleared, even Ali vs Foreman got called off back in the day because of a cut

Not only would the AC have not cleared him, there is no guarantee Chiesa would have got his full show money, or win money. Mcgregor basicly cost him show/win money. So he absolutely should Sue.

MMA is not at the stage where these guys make a ton of money unless they are at the top of the sport. Bottom line..if I would be willing to fight in a cage for money..I damn sure would be willing to fake or embellish an injury to get some of Conors.

Probably a good idea to let those corneal abrasions heal before taking punches.

Dana said all fighters affected will get their show money I believe. *insert don't believe his lies meme*

I wonder if UFC is covering the medical bill's from the incident

The issue is, we don't blame people that ambulance chase when it's happening to someone that we don't like, but when it happens to us or someone we love, when it clogs up our court systems and costs us billions every year and our tax paying money, then you realize it is just simply intolerable behavior. It is bizzårre-O-ville to see so many people openly asking, normalizing and even encouraging fighters to commit insurance fraud.

That's another problem - all that resulted was a lil scratch to Chiesa but I guarantee you the emergency room bill for everyone was tens of thousand. Doctors are able to get away with ripping people off because the whole thing is a racket, from the ambulance chasers, to the insurance companies and doctor: one fraudster depending on another fraudster and making a trillion dollar industry of legal fraud.

Somebody posted a nysac regulations document that states the employer (ufc) has to pay 50% of purse (show money) in the even the fighter makes weight but the fight is cancelled. So legally Dana only has to pay hald of the show money.

Now im not saying Dana would screw Chiesa over or not, but you would have to pay me alot more then my show+win money for me not to Sue.

Weren't both fighters officially declared unfit to fight? I know it's stupid but if that was the case then there's no reason why they shouldn't pursue compensation.

You know how the dr's are. If a fighter says "I want to fight but can't see", what is the dr going to do 100% of the time? Call the fight off. They always take the patients word, even when lying. It's all bureaucracy and BS, just like how Nunes got 'approved' by the UFC doctor and denied by the Dr she found.

What compensation would they pursue if UFC covers their purse and medical bills? Win bonus?

If they get rescheduled with another fight very soon they are actually making more and better off than they would have been.

Apparently few posts above says UFC only has to pay 50% show money. If they get their show money then I agree, it's not worth the hassle.
