With the late notice addition of Cyborg vs. Kunitskaya and Edgar vs. Ortega in the Co-Main, it seems UFC 222 is "saved" and will remain as a PPV event. I'm not a fan of the Main Event or the Co-Main as it eliminates a contender and both already deserve a title shot. I'm glad they opted to move Dodson/Munhoz to this card and the late notice addition of Dariush/Green is nice. With how the card looked at first, this isn't a terrible card but I don't think I'd call it good either. The prelims are actually not too shabby though imo. I like O'Malley vs. Soukhamthath and Caraway vs. Stamann. The debut of Dern should be good as well. I rate the card a 5/10.

I may have to go out to BWW instead of throwing 65 on it, and that's saying something. It's by no means a bad card - I've paid for worse - but it's a tough sell. Edgar/Ortega should be a five round fight to determine the top contender at FW. I'm of the mind that all official number one contender fights (there are not many, but there have been actual, official title eliminator bouts) should be five rounds. Dodson vs Munhoz helps.

too many brats on here judge a card on its star power and not on how many fights they actually want to see. This card has some damn fun fights on it with 11 ranked fighters. Could easily argue this is the best card this year so far. We cant act like most of Sherdog buys PPVs anyways. Will be going to a bar for this one and ill have a good time.

edgar/ortega I'm definitely pumped for. usually I'd go with the up & comer over the seasoned veteran, but it's amazing how edgar hasn't seemed to lose a step after all these years/fights, especially for someone who relies on footwork and speed as much as technical ability.

• Two people notorious for fighting only once a year are returning after close two years of inactivity but ranked in zingano and caraway

• Mckenzie Dern (the girl they pretty much made the flyweight division for i reckon)
• The remnants of Mike pyle who is 2-5 in his last 7

To be honest its not actually a bad card overall,

A 2-2-1 (in her last 5) BW is the main-eventer against Cyborg??? This ought to be interesting on the tails of last week's beatdown. Wanting to boost the way WMMA is regarded and putting Mackenzie Dern on the Fight Pass Prelims doesn't make a lot of sense either.

Yeah, totally agree. Its a good card. Too bad Frankie vs Max wont happen, but we got some fun fights on it now.

That Foxy girl got some guts to fight Cyborginator on her debut. Ortega taking on Edgar short notice is pretty wild to. Struve vs arlovski could be fun. Did not know Mackenzie Dern was making her debut until now. They snuck her in without telling anyone or any hype? Strange.

Will watch. Nothing else better to do that weekend.
