I feel like Dustin has been a bit overrated these last few years. In my opinion he’s a really good fighter, but definitely not great or exceptional.

He’s a big, not huge LW, with good power and good cardio. Good striking and decent BJJ, but with very average wrestling.

Most of his best wins have been wars and a majority of them could’ve went either way. He’s never been dominant or on a impressive win streak. He has a lot of loses and some aren’t even to the best fighters in the division.

TBH I wouldn’t bet on him to beat guys like Islam, Tsarukyan, Gamrot or Guram.

What are your thoughts on Dustin?

solid 8/10
Good power
Good cardio
Good boxing
Durable
one of the best resumes at LW in my opinion
-Conor
-Eddie
-Max (finished him at 145 too)
-Pettis
-Finished Bobby Green (lot of people have questionable decisions wins over Bobby)
-Hooker
-Gaethje
that's a seriously good resume only losses to Khabib and the GOAT Oliveira and Michael Johnson which we all know Michael Johnson could KO Ngannou and then get gogoplata'd by a random bellator prelim fighter

He’s a good fighter. Entertaining. But not a champion. 7.5. Olivera is an 8.5. Basically if khabib is retired these guys hold the belt. But khabib is 10 as a fighter.

I would rank him ahead of Conor McGregor! Tough dude who has a chance to win every fight he's in, easy top 5.

8/10

Has it all, except a strong ground game and inability to capitalize on the big stage.

its been a pleasure following and watching him fight since the crueder/fightville days- he's definitely climbed the mountain and nearly gotten to the peak- will always be a big fan and root for him against nearly everyone- war diamond

100% completely this. All well said.

He's also clearly grown up as a person too, so watching his whole career has indeed been a pleasure for the fans. Can't think of many situations where I'd be rooting against him.

In terms of raw skill/"level", I'd say he's an 8.5 or so. If he had wrestling to match his stand-up he'd be champ and near-unstoppable.
