Video dating back to last year. The Russian hails from RedFury and splits time @ Team Takedown in Texas as well as ATT in Florida.

As you can see, Johny's sporting that Buddha belly and he's also standing orthodox here as opposed to his routine southpaw stance.

Rashid 'Highlander' Magomedov faces multiple time BJJ champion Gilbert 'Durinho' Burns this Saturday in his 3rd consecutive trip to Brazil.

Someone should tell Rashid that sparring with heavyweights isn't a smart idea.

thanks rashids one of my favs

If you carry yourself like that outside of fights then you don't deserve to be the champion of the No1 Combat sports promotion in the World.

Also Rashid is a beast.

Thanks. Not enough people are talking about Rashid and I have no idea why. He's great.

3-0

Tony Martin - Fight Pass and on a weak UFC 169 card.
Rodrigo Damm - Prelims on the The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 Finale, nuff said.
Elias Silvério - Main card UFC Fight Night: Machida vs. Dollaway. Not the biggest card but this is when some start talking about him.

In summary all the guys he beat are no names in mostly smaller events. This next fight is make or break for him. Hasn't been a UFC on free tv for while now, Belfort and Henderson still have the name power to draw some good ratings.

The stage is set, win this and we are talking main card PPV/Big Fox.

He's 17-1 and his only loss was a split decision that could have gone either way and the opponent was elite. He was also the m-1 champ at a weight class above.

Does anyone know why he's been out so long though? was he rehabbing an injury?

wonder what hendicks weights in this video..

The guy has officially missed weight once. Once. Stop being such a crybaby. lol at saying he doesnt deserve to fight in the UFC because he missed weight one.

Guy is a two time NCAA champion, former UFC champion and should still be(2nd Lawler fight was a robbery) and the only guy to beat up GSP in like six years.

but nope..missed weight once. CUT HIM!

I only referred to his UFC record because despite his accomplishment before UFC (M-1 Champ as you say) most people on sherdog and casuals alike don't follow or care about what goes on outside of the UFC like you and I do. They soon will though:icon_twis

I didn't say cut him dipshit, I was talking about him being a champion. A champion should always be in shape and set an example. Maybe if he didn't act like a fucking cry baby with entitlement issues saying in every interview he deserve title shot after beating Matt brown (lol) prior to being booked with Woodley.

Stop being some hipster by being one of the few people defending Hendricks and admit the guy needs to make weight, win 1 or 2 more fights and then get title shot.

Was Rashid prohibited from throwing body punches to that pot belly?
