Rashad all day. He is too fast for DC. Has better striking. I think his wrestling is definetly good enough to be competitve with Cormier.

It is MMA and anything can happen, but I'd put money on Shad. He is underrated on here since he lost to Nog.

    It's a good fight but I think post-Jones Rashad wouldn't win.

His injuries are starting to catch up to him though.

Personally, I'd put Money on Cormier because I don't think that Rashad can out wrestle him. It's going to the ground very quickly. Rashad has the advantage on the feet, but I don't think he'll be able to keep them standing.

I kind of agree. I know DC is a juggernaut and has a ton of momentum, but Rashad is a sneaky hard fight for him. I could see Shad boxing him up for sure.

I wouldn't put money on Shad, but it's not impossible. Cormier's more powerful but I see Shad having good footwork. Close fight. It would be hard for Cormier to keep Shad down, I think. Shad won't have the wrestling to threaten Cormier, though I think Shad's defensive wrestling would be enough to keep the fight standing.

Cormier has fought no one even close to the skill of Rashad yet. No way he would take a fight that dangerous. I would be happy if he even fought a competent, dangerous striker in his prime like Manuwa.

Cormier is an Olympic wrestler who actually lives up to his hype. Rashad will not be able to take DC down. Cormier's striking won him fights at HW and schooled Hendo at LHW.

There is no way Evans beats Cormier. Evans may be faster, but Cormier's superior wrestling and striking would neutralize speed advantage that Rashad may have.

DC toyed with Henderson, something Evans could not do. He easily knocked out the Big Foot (who knocked out Overeem). Cormier outgrappled Josh Barnett. Also, DC trains with the current HW champ Cain.

The best Evans can hope for against Cormier is going the distance.

I agree man, DC is at a disadvantage in the speed department with Shad, also shad has better boxing although both are good.

I am the biggest Shad fan their is but I think his loses all came from his own psyche. Taunting Lyoto and whatever he was doing against Lil Nog are all his fault. If he comes into a fight with a gameplan he doesn't divert from Shad will win against anyone at 205 except Bones who beats everyone at 205

Rashad is a good wrestler, but Daniel would slam him into next week.

Depends which Rashad shows up. The Rashad I saw against Phil was the best Rashad I've seen in a while. If that version of him shows up, I'll definitely give him a chance.

I was pretty bummed when Shad pulled out.

Now we are going to watch DC get a title shot off a win over "Dusty" Dan Henderson.

Lets make Jared Roscholt vs Big Nog and if Jared wins he gets a title shot.

It would be a good fight, but I still think DC would win. he is bigger, stronger and a better wrestler then Rashad and Rashad's standup isn't good enough to negate the wrestling.
