well, ive only tried two. Im about 5'7, and 135lbs

the medium hayabusa's are kinda loose, but still a decent fit

the medium full contact fighter I tried was so damn tight

All mine are the same size as I use in everything else, and they fit fine (XL)

I usually have to go up a size in rashguards from my normal t-shirt size, but I think it also depends on your body type. I"m short and stocky, so the compression shirt fit winds up being too tight around the shoulders and arms if I get my regular shirt size.

I too am short and stocky 5'6'' 180 lbs

Buying rash guards one size above my regular t-shirt size (XL instead of L) has worked out just fine for the 2 Tapout rashies I own

I'd say you would probably need a medium.
