Earlier we saw SpaceX founder Elon Musk sitting in the company control room as his team prepared for the Starship's launch.

Afterwards, Musk tweeted his congratulations to the team for "an exciting test launch".

While the Starship did explode a few minutes after take-off, Musk said his team "learned a lot for the next test launch in a few months".

Extremely creative wording for an unplanned explosion, lol, but the SpaceX team reckon this was a success.

They don't seem that upset about it, to be fair, the woman on the video says that it was all about the launch and everything after that was 'icing on the cake' - I'm not sure if they had plans to bring it down or not, but they seem casual about it 'rapidly disassembling in an unscheduled manner' ha

I haven't watched the video but sounds like damage control to me.

It's almost as if a certain group of people are happy at the thought of an American space program perceived failure. This isn't the gotcha moment they think it is.

Yeah, that’s an explosion if I have ever seen one. It rapidly disassembled into a ball of fire lol

They probably aren’t happy it blew up but it not the first time it’s happened and it won’t be the last. Trying to create something new takes some trial and error. That is why they do test launches.

Incredible.

I don't really think it's funny to see our space program struggle. Hopefully they sort it out and can get to hopping around this solar system before I die.

I remember reading a study that said rich successful people tend to be positive and don't look at things as failures just learning experiences.

Good thing for SpaceX with NASA rarely sending anything of significance up.
