The eye poke The groin shot Strikes to an unconscious opponent Holding a choke to an unconscious opponent Holding a joint lock after the tap/ref touches you Fake glove tap How do you rank these acts of cowardice?
They are all shitbag moves. people love to hang shit on TMA but at least it instills some values and ethics
1 because it was the most dangerous. Holding a choke to an unconscious opponent Holding a joint lock after the tap/ref touches you 2 because he knew he was out. 2nd most dangerous. Strikes to an unconscious opponent 3 strategic dick move. The eye poke 4 intentional dick move but no real bad intent towards it. Fake glove tap 5 Not intentional imo The groin shot
1. Eye poke 2. Holding a joint lock 3. Groin shot 4. Strikes to an unconscious opponent 5. Holding a choke 6. Fake glove tap
1. "Wahhhh he poked his eyes wahhh" 2. He wasn't even looking and has a brain the size of a peanut 3. Yves Lavigne shoukd have been stronger 4. Heath Called him motherfucker 5. Silva was just inexperienced I say they're all totally acceptable manoeuvres. Let them bang bro.
How often does the refs really do something about any of this? 2 times a year? Maybe 3. We have watched guys hold opponents heads towards the mat for more accuracy and punch them in the back of the head but the ref didn't disqualify them because they were winning anyway. That's why you hear them yelling "Back of the head!" or "Watch the back of the head!" as homeboy/girl is bouncing the opponent's brains around their skull. This shit happens practically every other card. 2 weeks later nobody gives a fuck except who won and how badly did they fuck up the opponent and can you meme it to put you over the poor bastard's fans who lost. Since enforcement is virtually non-existent you can do whatever the fuck you want especially in title fights and main events as refs are even less likely to get involved. If you aren't cheating you aren't trying.
Eye poke is the absolute worst infraction IMO due to the distinct possibility of blindness resulting.
1. Strikes to an unconscious opponent 2. Holding a joint lock 3. Holding a choke 4. Eye poke - i would say they are all "accidental", but lets say some fighters are more prone to have those accidents than others... 5. Fake glove tap 6. Groin shot - Other than the infamous ones from the early days low blows are accidental. Top 3/4 are bad and potential career ending, rules should be strict on them.
No way is that more scummy than continuing to pound on someones head who you know 100% is already unconscious. Fake glove tap is a little sneaky but fair game. I don't like glove taps anyway so wouldn't mind seeing more fake ones to disincentive people from doing them.
