Out of these fighters who has most strategic mind (with help from his camp obviously) to adjust and perform better in the rematches: GSP, Jones, Demetrius Johnson, DC, Stipe, Cruz?

I rank them:

1. Jones
2. DJ
3. GSP
4. Cruz
5. DC
6. Stipe

1. Conor - beat a Goliath Nate Diaz second time around, and now nobody wants to rematch him
2. Shogun - beat machida, Coleman, and griffin the second time
3. Brock- destroyed Mir and nobody wants to rematch him for rest of his career

why is DJ #2? Cejudo should have his spot in your list

Not a big fan of jones but he’s a different animal in rematches. So he’s number one. Then GSP, then stipe.

I haven’t seen the other ones in their rematches so won’t make a call on how they would fare.

He wouldnt need rematches if he would stop losing

Why does DC go above Stipe?

Stipe has had two rematches. The first JDS he lost a decision, the second he TKOd him in the first...having eliminated the Cain-inspired wrestling that tired him the previous time and cutting straight to the chase. The first Cormier he lost via 1st round KO, the second he wins by TKO in the 4th...by means of a sudden in-game shift in strategy.

Cormier has had three rematches. The first Jones fight he lost to a decision, the second he got KOd (later overturned to NC)...though I'll admit he did look sharper in the 2nd fight. The first Anthony Johnson fight he won by RNC, the 2nd fight the same...but with Rumble being derpier than before, fighting so stupidly his own coaches abandoned him. The 1st Miocic fight he wins with a first round knockout, the second he loses by TKO...having roundly disregarded his corner's coaching to their evident exasperation.

So to recap: Stipe has had a far better outcome when he rematches, DC has had at best the same but more often worse outcomes. And it's Stipe that gets placed last?

Cruz and DC don't belong on here at all

Cruz beat Benavidez the first time then won a dodgy decision over him in the rematch

DC's been knocked out in two rematches, and only win is over Rumble

Cro Cop should be on here before either of them, he's 7-0 in rematches

Jones and GSP are miles ahead in this category, especially considering their level of competition

Anderson is probably the worst performing in rematches.
