Rank the worst title holders in the past decade

I'd probably have to say Brandon Vera

McGregor - left the division before defending

Dillashaw - beat a no name replacement, then got beat by the Real Champ and whined the whole time

Serra - he just talks too much

Ricco Rodriguez - fluke

Vitor Belfort - only won because eye pokes and doctor stoppages, then lost every other title shot

Holly Holm - pulled one of the greatest upsets in MMA history, then lost it to person she defeated's rival, in a very uninspiring performance

Ricco was not a fluke as a matter of fact he probably could have been a superstar if he had not been a coke head whore monger. DUde partied his way to 350lbs and threw away everything. He was Manziel before Manziel.

why are you guys shitting on sylvia he defended his belt twice. How many times did Cain defend his.....

Twice.

And in response to the thread, it really depends how you define worst title holders. Do you mean worst fighters, as in Serra (1 in a 100 shot of winning, 1 win of note in his entire career and several losses to no names) or worst run once they held the title, as in Shogun (won the title, then offered absolutely nothing in his next fight, looked like some random bum they found on the street 5 minutes before the fight).

1 - Carla Esparza, won a vacant belt on TUF, lost it in the first title defense.
2 - Serra, won shot on TUF, lost it in a devastating rematch
3 - Conor, not even defends it, lost to a 10 days notice top mid 10 LW, wants rematch before first title defense.
4 - Hendricks, wins vacant title, annoying champ, lost belt on first title defense, hasnt stopped complaining since then.
5 - Rockhold, talked too much, got KO´d in the first title defense.

Brock
Esparza
Sylvia
Bisping
Serra
slyvia was not a bad title holder not his fault that the division he was in sucked ...he just fougth too cautiously after he got comfortable holding the belt and i dont blame him look at what happened to rampage when he had the title .. he was trying to brawl with forest and forest was trying to get the decision and rampage got fucked for trying to put on a good show and go for the kill

Dillashaw - beat a no name replacement, then got beat by the Real Champ and whined the whole time

Cruz had not fought for 2 years so UFC had no choice but to promote Barao to full time champion. Counting his interim title reign he defended 3 times and was a top 10 P4P fighter until he ran into Dillashaw. Dillashaw then defended the belt twice and lost it in a close split decision.

Conor is clearly number 1.
Esparza at 2.

Does it fucking much matter after that ?

He's talking about Joe Soto.

funny how you guys put Bisping on your list, but not Rockhold. Did you miss that fight?

No one seems to remember the champ that Bising TKO'd in the first. interesting.

My mindset is "Who holds the belt even though everyone and their mother knows they aren't the division's best". That said:

1. Esparza
2. Serra
3. Bisping
4. Lesnar
5. Sylvia (I guess)

...and I don't get how people are saying Conor. He may not have defended his title, but beating Holloway (although before he leveled-up), Mendes and Aldo in route to getting it, he is objectively, one of the top-3 in his division, and arguably the best.

no rousey or conor in the first page?? what the hell

Did you miss their 1st? I'm fairly indifferent toward Luke but he's clearly a much better fighter than Bisping and Mike will lose his 1st defense against anyone they throw at him.

you understand that "the last decade" means in the last 10 years ? right?

Such a hate thread. Anyone who is the champ deserves to be the champ, unless they cheated. You could nail Tim Sylvia with that I suppose, but Josh Barnett should also be on the list in that case.
