On Tuesday afternoon, the first bout of July 27’s UFC on Fox card surfaced on the internet. Combatereported former UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo will be taking on top contender Jeremy Stephens. Now, MMA Todayhas learned of a second bout. Sources close to the situation say Randa Markos (8-5, 4-4 UFC) is expected to square off against Nina Ansaroff (8-5, 2-2 UFC) in a women’s strawweight battle.

I have to admit I am wearying of WMMA except at the top levels. (I enjoyed JJ vs Rose for example). But mid tier WMMA is seems to be improving very slowly if at all.

Prediction: A lot of clinching and school yard headlock throw attempts, terrible striking hitting air, some great views of Markos' positioning on the ground, and a 29-28 in either direction.

Randa has consecutive wins over Tecia Torres and Felice Herrig, and a win over Esparza, all 3 of whom are ranked top 10.
