Am i the only one who thinks this?, many people are counting out Rampage saying he is gonna get finished and retired. I see it the other way around, as a Machida fan i have to say i was very surprised by Rampage because he didnt look motivated in that fight and he was able to get the W even if it was a split decision... yeah i scored the fight for Machida but anyway it is what it is and in this fight Rampage has the chance to showcase his biggest strenght: Boxing. Glover likes to get in close and box with uppercuts, hooks and everything Rampage wants you to do to knock you out... lets take a look at Rampage
No, you're not the only one. http://www.sherdog.net/forums/f2/i-think-glover-teixeira-plays-right-into-rampages-strength-2143083/
Rampage finally got his dream fight. If this doesn't motivate him, nothing will, and he should move on from MMA. Styles make fights, and it's been a while since he fought a good match up stylistically.
I'm pulling for Page on this one. Motivated or not he takes the cake. I don't think Glover has faced anyone like Page before and once he gets tagged by Page's super unlimited ultra strength, he'll be wondering why he got into MMA in the first place. Then again I could see Glover fighting on the outside, frustrating Page, and taking the UD but that would be out of character for him. WAR RAMPAGE!
Been a while since i was impressed by a Rampage Jackson performance... And he was just shooting another movie few months ago... So i can only expect another disappointing performance.
I actually made that thread way back when the fight was first scheduled. I revived it when they rescheduled.
Rampage doesn't match up well with anyone when he doesn't put the work in. I love the guy but he hasn't looked like he's wanted to be in the cage in a good while.
I really doubt Glover is going to go in there and throw a bunch of shots standing. Glover has a some VERY good takedowns and some great ground and pound, so I have a feeling thats what he is going to go for in this fight. With that said I think even if GLover keeps it standing he should still be able to beat Rampage.
when's the last time Rampage cared enough to train properly and show his overall game? I don't htink it'll be close.
Rampage has good boxing, and a great counter hook. Glover needs to be smart or he will play into Rampage's biggest strength. Plus this is a big step up for Glover, no idea how he will handle it.
The Rampage of 6 years ago would have won this fight. Doubtful if that Rampage shows up. Glover takes it in 2.
