any real nutritional difference between the 2 fish?

one higher in good fats then the other? better protien in one?

i do notice that rainbow trout is signifacantly cheaper then salmon

nm. found my answer

seams salmon is fatter, it has 2wice the omegga3 fatty acid.

Eat whichever you feel like.
Unless you're that particular about the nutritional content.

Salmon is better for Omega 3's, which make it the more useful food (because so few are rich in Omega 3's), but Rainbox Trout is highly nutritious, and a good choice especially if you already take a fish oil pill.

BTW, Trout's EFA profile is one of the best; it's just overshadowed by the easily superior Salmon.

Just make sure it's fresh salmon or trout. If it's farm raised (usually fed grains) the fat profile is pretty similar to any other meat (ie it loses a lot of that much needed Omega 3 and has a lot more omega 6 instead).

one reason to love canada, we get almost all our fish from the canadian sea and ocean fishery company

Damn I never knew that. I've been eating farm raised salmon for the longest time.
