A breaking story just moments ago. It was a perfect storm. Former Governor Quinn's campaign to limit mayoral terms seems like it may actually pass. Political tension has never been higher and Chicago has more controversial shootings of unarmed individuals than any other city. Is this a victory for grassroots movements or a cave into thuggish intimidation? Let's let the scholars on a mma message board decide.

That's surprising, I mean he's done a fantastic job in Chicago, it's a Liberal paradise.

Looks like a typical "Exit from office gracefully and we won't reveal the mountain of dirt we have on you" type of exit.

Almost no one ever leaves political power willingly.

I'm not sure, but it might also have to do with the fact that he's one of the worst mayors Chicago has ever had. Not an easy achievement by Chicago standards.

It's a disgrace Rahm and liberal ever end up in the same sentence.

Theres nothing that makes that guy a liberal.

  10. Paradise? Not enough public defacation for that. Too many small private businesses have entrance ways free of diseased homeless people for it to become close to being paradise to a "liberal" lol.

Imagine that. He knew nothing of the city , but wanted to use obamas coat tails to ride into political office so he can enrich himself with graft and corruption.

He was placed on the democratic ticket and his coronation was complete after the useless election. Such democracy, muh republic

One of my favorite Rahm pics. The $600,000 check he had to write to the NRA.

The biggest issue with local politics is the mobility of people in the modern era. When the political system was first established, you were basically stuck where you were born. Now, people can move even if they are slightly annoyed by something. I realize the city needs change, but you can't do it radically. People with money will leave.

Good. He's a shady fuck. Didn't like him much under Obama, haven't gotten to like him any more since. Less, if anything
