Lee could have that interim title before long, which would — at least, presumably — earn him an eventual shot at UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor. When asked about that potential matchup, Iaquinta laughed. He doesn’t believe Lee will fare too well.

“That would be hysterical,” Iaquinta said. “Kevin Lee would get demolished. Not even in the fight. He thinks he’s like Conor. How you gonna mimic the guy that you’re fighting? What are you doing? He was given the decision over Lee but that same fight today likely gets scored a draw.

Lee dominated that 2nd round on the ground and nearly locked up several chokes, had a good case for a 10-8 both in the old scoring criteria and the new one that encourages a lesser requirement for 10-8s.

He's literally ripped off McGregor lines at press conferences.

I should say, I have nothing against Lee. I hope he beats Ferg. But he definitely stole some of his gimmick.
