Let's unveil a double standard here, Conor McGregor gets criticized for not fighting in "his true weight class", what about Dos Anjos? didn't he say he walks at .... was it 190 lbs? or even more? so why nobody talks shit about him "ducking" WW? now i'm going to ask you all how would he fare against some WW:

You do realize that the gap between FW and LW is 10 lbs and the gap between LW and WW is 15 lbs? As well as RDA is one of the shortest LW height-wise (there are some LWs who are 5'8", but very few) and doesn't have a 6'2" person reach.

Not to mention the gap between LW and WW is 50% bigger.

Because he doesn't have other physical advantages which heavy guys usually enjoy and for which they cut so much weight (height, reach and frame). Jones is accused of ducking HW and his physical advantages are well-documented. Rockhold is accused of ducking LHW and he's 6'3" with 77" reach.

He doesn't look as bad during weight cuts, and doesn't dwarf most of his division like Conor did. That's simply why people don't shit on him for that.

I like Conor, one of my favorites to watch, but all of this was kind of a concern. I don't want him to fight at FW ever again, that sucks for Aldo because I would have wanted him to have a rematch but weigh ins were becoming more and more ridiculous and it raised question about the "balance" of the fights

I'm not convinced Bendo will do well at WW. He looked exactly the same and guys will be bigger and stronger once he gets to the elite.
