I can't narrow it down to any specific incident, but I have a strong suspicion that I just did too many box jumps one week. This was a couple of months ago, and I ended up doing a few hundred throughout one week during conditioning. Starting the next week it started to hurt during heavy squats. It doesn't help that I shoot a lot during practice and I keep checking kicks with my patellar tendon instead of my shin :redface: A couple of weeks ago, I took a knee there during a scramble, and it just about took me out of training for several days.
I've taken to wearing knee sleeves during training to get a little extra support and to keep my knees warm. During practice, I wear knee pads, and I've taken to icing it regularly. Anytime I sit down and watch tv, I throw an ice pack on it.
