He supposedly married aaliyah when she was 15. She falsified her documents just to be able to marry him. Therefore, this is his second official law breaking. Who would've thought that he's got a preference for minors? This puts him in deep deep shit now. Do you guys think he'll get away with it because he's popolar and settle the thing by monetary means? I think there should be no tolerance in such cases.

He wasn't in trouble with the law for trying to marry her, but the marriage was annulled (of course).
if he does get off scot-free, i hope to hell there are some dedicated vigilantes in his neck of the woods!
KTTD it is implied that he had sexual intercourse with aaliyah since he tried to marry her. Shit, I live in a redneck's nest. I know of tons of guys having sex wth minors. But unless the female herself complains the guy will get away with it. I think guys should have enough composure to resist the temptation and either keep it clean til she's 18 or not engage in a relationship at all until she reaches that age. Just my 2c.
I jaded as I am, I truly don't think he will walk. Too many people are following this case. Even if it was murder one, I would think he would walk, but child porn/sex abuse is such a sensitive subject... and you know, he did marry a 15 year old. Not to mention have sex with/urinate on/jizz on the face of a very, very young girl, and tape the whole thing. He still claims it isn't him, and still claims he hasn't even seen the fucking tape. I don't think a soul alive believes him. But, you never know with justice today. Hopefully Bubba's Hall of Anal Justice will make it's way into R's life.
FTYD I totally think (know) he had sex with her too, of course. But if he wasn't brought up on charges, then they can't say he had sex with her. I ain't a lawyer though. Is anyone here in law?
I'm not entirely sure he'll get convicted. It's amazingly convenient that the wealthy find a way out their crimes. But even if he is convicted, I doubt he'll goto a real prison. He's a millionaire entertainer. He'll serve a few months in a cell by himself in some prison normally delegated for white-collar crimes...you know, one of those minimum security deals. He'll skate through this. Even though I really wish they'd throw the book at him.
Even if the guy does go to some minimum security clink his music career is fucked, this is only a good thing.
