I'll apologize now, let the reaming begin.
When you buy a gi, does it come with a white belt?
no, usually not.
I don't own a Gi, I thought it was a good question.
attn sir037 - you ask a very legitimate and significant question. The following HCK gis come with a standard issue White Belt: STANDARD SINGLE and COMPETITION SINGLE. Only the COMPETITION DOUBLE and ABSOLUTE do not come with a belt.
HOWARD COMBAT KIMONOS
Universally acknowledged as the World's finest grappling uniform
Most decent places will throw in a whitebelt IF you ask them ahead of time. If you have trouble let me know and I'll send you to some well known companies that will.
atama = yes
koral = no
not a stupid question by the way
I was under the impression that most gis came with a white belt. Hell my cheap ass no name gi (that I got ripped off for but that's another topic) even came with one
My ebay gi came with two! But that was a hand-me-down from ebay that cost 5 bucks...
The one time I ordered a product of yours it did not turn out well.
Better gis usually don't, because companies assume that someone buying a $200 gi already has a colored belt.
The several times I ordered products off of them it turned out absolutely great.
While it has been over a year since I last ordered a gi, neither of my Atama or Rednose gis came with belts. But I don't think I'd let the belt make my decision on which gi I bought. Like someone said, ask ahead. I think scorcho's right-- think about the expense of shipping white belts out with each gi, when realistically, how many of those gis are going out to higher belt holders?
HCK, Atama, Kikskin and a few others do come with white belts but most do not. I will include a Gameness or HCK belt (white or colored) at cost if asked when placing an order for a gi.
Mizuno=Yes, but my bjj instructor also supplied me with one when i started
good question, my instructor provided my first Gi and my belt so I really don't know.
It's not really an issue with regards of choosing a gi. I just want to be prepared for when I start class. Thank you all for your input.
I'm not sure why you're concerned about it -- you're a blue belt.
Because grasshopper, in life, I will always consider myself a white belt.
Krugans are another company that sometimes supply the white
