This is the specific shoe that i am refering to

A friend of mine has them...and he cannot figure out how the hell to "work" the mechanism on the tough of the shoe that is suppose to "hide" the laces (you tuck the laces inside the tongue, via a velcro strap that opens, tuck the laces away, than close the flap). Problem is that when you lace the shoes all the way up and tie them up...you can no longer access the velcro strap on the tongue of the shoe...it gets buried under the laces (thus the laces sit out in the open...making it easy for them to get caught on things, and come untied)...

I took a look at the things last night...and despite my best efforts i could not get the damn thing to "work" either:redface:

Anyone have the same problem?

Anyone have any solutions (yes i am aware that i have also posted a thread about otomix wrestling shoes...i was looking at getting a pair of the asics dan gable model, but after seeing the difficulties that my friend has been having, i am hesitant to get a pair, hence why i am looking at different brands)

End Transmission

I'm pretty sure you just need to have the tongue pulled up high enough. Also make sure the laces third from the top go through the tongue...

Thanks man! With your info we where able to figure it out! What happened is that the lace holes (3rd from the top) had not been punched out properly...so neither of us could figure out how to lace them properly:redface:

But after punching out the material in that space...the shoes work like a dream. My friend finally got to test drive the things this afternoon, and he loved them. I tried them on for a roll as well...and i must say i was impressed...

Looks like i just found the next set of shoes that i will be investing in!

Again, thanks man
