If I hang a heavy bag to my garage ceiling, will it shake the house or room above it when I hit the bag?

thanks

Of course it will :) It really depends on how your house is made as to how much it's going to shake, the only way you can find out is to actually hang it.

Depends on how the flooring for the room above is attached to the beam you hang your bag from.

Yes...if it's one of those crappy ass houses where you can kick the door in and all. Like the ones on Cops.

i have one in my basement and you can hear it up stairs but the vibration isnt to bad. i have a question tho i broke mine using it as a wrestling dumby and i was wondering any tips of how to fix it? or should i jsut shell out another 90 bucks and get a new one?

I have one out back hanging from a tree. Its ghetto cause I put a tarp over it then used duct tape and glue to seal it from rain (glue on the top so water cant go down in)
It works really good and my moms the only one who cares.

If you hanging the bag right on the joist you could connect that joist with the others. Put blocking inbetween connecting the joists together to spread out the vibration, or screw a two by four across the bottom of the joists.
