How would a fight between these two turn out? I haven't seen seen too many Haye fights so I can't say but they both seem similar in size and speed. Haye probably has more power. Byrd was a really good boxer though.

Byrd was pretty much destroyed b Wlad. What does Haye have that's any different from what Byrd offered? Wlad kept him at the end of his jab and snucked in those straight rights that KO'ed Byrd.

What would be different in a Haye v. Wlad fight?

Byrd was blown up MW or SMW or LHW.
Guy was tough, but feather fisted.
I think the President ruined him.
Handy would've stopped him.
His last fight was at LHW, got stopped, wasn't pretty.

now haye would wreck him. prime for prime it would be very interesting, but I'd say a late stoppage or close decision

didn't Byrd go on to win his 2 titles after the fight with Ike though? I think on a good night Byrd couldv'e gotten the decision. He was hard to hit and awkward in the ring. This would have to be the Byrd from the early 00's though. But hey, what do i know, Byrd's my man from Flint. I even used to work with his brother Patrick. I might be biased

Byrd impressed when he fought hard hitting David Tua.... and in the process more than confirmed that one dimension that became evident in the Lennox Lewis fight.

But this fight isn't too telling for how Byrd v Haye would go. Haye is longer and punches straight while Tua loads up Bald Bull style and if you're quick enough you can anticipate the shots - exactly what Byrd did all night.

Byrd might slip some of Haye's shots, but Haye would be firing more often and faster than most bigger, slower and more clodding heavyweights.

I think Haye puts Byrd down in this fight - mid.
