McGregor only has ignorant drunken Irish fans or teenage American fanboys for fans. And a bunch of casual fans high on a bandwagon. As soon as he loses even once, a good 7/8 of them will be long gone. The rest that stay behind will likely have a whole list of excuses.
Why would you think that arguably the most exciting fighter inside and outside of the Octagon would lose 7/8 of his fanbase for losing to one of the best p4p fighters in MMA? It makes no sense, Conor is basically as good as it gets from a fans point of view, he's won every fight accept one by KO, he's a very active fighter, he wants to take on the best fighters at higher weight classes and he's raising the bar for future fighter pay. I feel like his haters hate him for proving them wrong so many times, and proving his fans right over and over again.

No, I didn't even really support Ellenberger and he's from my hometown. I have no bias. I just didn't buy the hype of Ellenberger Sherdog was giving him based off one talent (KOing people) and not showing much more. Seemed like an alright guy, I just didn't feel like he was the next big thing though.
