As most of you know by my thirty threads on the 5x5 so far. Im doing it. When i was squating on monday me and my friend wer at the rack and on my last set i screamed to help myslefp push the weight from the bottom. a bunch of guys looked at me (this one fucker who does quarter squats) like im dumb. Is it ok????? We were making sure to go past paralell and its the firts time of done squats with good form but its alot harder then what im used to.

I found it helped me cuz by the last set it felt like i had an elephant on my back.

How about you start a thread called "WORKOUTGUY'S THREAD FOR STUPID QUESTIONS" and we'll answer them in there instead of cluttering up the first page constantly?

Wow, and everyone was so nice thus far, im sorry to clutter you imaginary interweb page, sorry that it upset you so.

Heres an idea RELAX buddy. I am asking a question about ettiqutte, not to mention my other question werent stupid, they relate to the program everyone here said to do. So why dont you just relax there cupcake youll live alot longer.

You shouldn't really care what other people think of you, especially if you're stronger than them LOL. My workout buddy is a screamer, especially with pulling, and everyone thinks that he's a moron, but hey, whatever works for you. Keep the numbers coming, and people will leave you alone.

Unless your squat is over 500lbs, you have no business screaming. By the time you're strong enough to squat 500lbs, you might figure out what the valsalva maneuver is and why screaming is stupid. Given your posts thus far, I am doubtful of your ability to ever get that strong or figure out why the valsalva maneuver.

Cliffs notes: Yes, you are dumb.

Its funny i was just telling my buddy how helpful ppl have been so far here, then the fucking assholes start coming out of the woodwork, dont worry bud it seems ill be hittin the weights more then you since you see to make hundreds of posts a day. once i have all my questions answered ill leave the main page alone, cuz god forbid i use up all the free space with all my questions pertaining to lifting.

Once again ChaseT with a touchy, feely post...

You can start asking questions in your training log now, for questions that particularly pertain to you, workoutguy.

Yeah, don't care about other people hearing you scream, as long as your form is solid and you're giving it your all.

yelling in the gym...

(2) causes...

1 - attention whore "hay peoples look at me lift this weight!"

2 - you need the little something extra to break a sticking point (you're about to darwin yourself or shit your pants)

just stick to focussed breathing. a little "tsssssttttt" on the rep is all you need to get that IAP in action. screaming like a bitch, just makes you look like one and doesn't help move more weight.

if you're lifting something impressive, you don't need to make any sounds. people will see it.

I'd say I'm one of the nice people on the board actually, but after your initial thread, how about just asking all the questions in that thread since the questions are all regarding the same routine? It's just unnecessary.

And I just checked, you have a log now. You can ask them there, it's much easier.

Almost everyone is really helpful. There are a few... interesting characters. Don't think they're indicative of the whole board though.

its no problem man i made a log and will ask there from now on, but a little politeness goes along way ya know. dont hav to be dick for the sake of being a dick, im new and have to learn the way things get done.

Oh look, I found a picture of WORKOUTGUY:

The guy in that pic looks to be about 5'9" and 245lbs. Does that make your nipples extra sensitive, WORKOUTGUY?
