Question about Salts in Seaweed

    I love Kelp. I purchase it dried. One is suppossed to soak it or steam it. I eat it as is because I crave the salt content. There is usually a white powder on the seaweed. Other than sodium chloride, what opther salts/sugars are there that I crave?
