Question about Mauricio Shogun Rua

Shogun won his 3 last fights. So what do you guys expect from Shogun in 2018?
Rua was obviously interested in the OSP fight and that´s why they had the rematch booked for Japan but unfortunately he got injured. He had 2 camps for this guy but didn´t get to show any of it (props to OSP in the 1st fight). Imo the fight still makes sense even after Latifi choked OSP out, and I think Rua wouldn't mind his loss either.

But take a look at the top of the division:
Gustafsson ; Volkan ; Teixeira ; Manuwa ; Latifi ; Cirkunov ; OSP

We have some fresh match ups for Rua:
vs Manuwa
vs Teixeira
vs Volkan
vs Cirkunov
vs Latifi

So what's the next step for Shogun in your opinion?

Feed him Rockhold.

I see Shogun KOing him in classic fashion.
 
feed him to jones when jones return so we can see shogun tap to strike a second time

I want Shogun to fight Glover if not OSP, I think he has a good chance to win them.

More likely to see Shogun getting dragged to the mat from the clinch and then mounted and beaten to a pulp. Would look similar to Rockhold/Machida.
 
Honestly, what's wrong with letting Shogun retire on a winning streak? I don't like him against any of those listed, maybe give him a softball for a retirement fight.

No more killers please. He's a legend, should get out before they use him to pad the records of up and comers.

At this point, Teixeira takes him down and either subs him or pounds him out. I´d give Shogun a better chance against either OSP or Cirkunov.... or even Manuwa. The other guys are really bad match ups for him.

Manuwa will put his lights out and Cirkunov value to low right now.
OSP is the only choice then.
 
If DC vacate let him fight for the vacant title agsinst Gus.
 
Personally think all but 2 of the top LHWs would work Rua at this point.... Sadly.

I´m not so sure Manuwa would put Shogun out on the feet. Dangerous fight for both guys, and Shogun wouldn't have to worry about takedowns, so it´s 100% chuteboxe mentality full destruction mode. And Manuwa's chin doesn´t come even close to Shogun's so if Shogun connected... and he would connect.
 
I think Shogun could do what he did to Tehuna to any of those guys you had listed. That Volkan fucker would be a rough one but going toes with Hendo makes me think he'll ko Volkan. I would like to see Shogun take on a big name, maybe Rockhold like someone mentioned earlier.

I dont think fighting a MW coming off a loss really helps Rua's case any in terms of title contention....
