Are hand-wraps necessary to use on a double end bag if you are wearing MMA gloves or boxing gloves?

I know they are necessary for the heavy-bag for sure but I'm not sure if you really need them for double end bags.

P.S: Would you need them for mitwork as well?

Thanks for reading!

Wrap for all things. At any time you can jack a wrist up even if you think it's the most simplest of things. I use 180" to 200" for boxing gloves and if I am wearing MMA gloves then I wear 108" wraps. As I said....just wrap up when training. It will become routine and you won't even have to think about it.

deffo concur with task. Wrap for everything. Especially mittwork.

Wrapping for everything is smart, however, I have hit the speed bag and double end bag without wraps multiple times and have never felt any danger.

The biggest concern is using mma gloves, I would get bag mitts.

You don't need wraps for Speed or DE bags

However, you definitely need wraps for Heavy Bag, Uppercut Bags, Mitts, and Sparring.

I just always wrap whenever I plan on hitting something. I always have, so it just feels weird if I put on gloves without my hands being wrapped.
