She died at 54. Damn, sounds like that blood bath thing doesn't help with aging.

There doesn't seem to be much on her in English, but there was a similar woman in 18th century Russia, Darya Nikolayevna Saltykova (1730 - 1801).

Saltykova was found guilty of having killed 38 female serfs by beating and torturing them to death, but Empress Catherine was unsure how to punish her. Capital punishment had been abolished in Russia in 1754, and the new Empress needed the support of the nobility. Several of Saltykova's accomplices were also found guilty and were sentenced to public flogging followed by hard labour terms.

In 1768, Saltykova was chained on a public platform in Moscow for one hour, with a sign around her neck with the text: "This woman has tortured and murdered". Many people came to look at her while she was being scornfully ridiculed. Afterwards, Saltykova was sent for life imprisonment in the cellar of the Ivanovsky Convent in Moscow.

From her wiki

Other writers, such as Michael Farin in 1989, have said that the accusations against Báthory were supported by testimony from more than 300 individuals, some of whom described physical evidence and the presence of mutilated dead, dying and imprisoned girls found at the time of her arrest.[

Three hundred individuals gave testimony against her. That would be one hell of a witch hunt.

So one woman has a crusade that just so coincides with a lot of media that wants to paint villains (and a lot of villainesses) as misunderstood victims. I'm sensing a pattern.
If you have the proof, provide it, if not this just seems like a different type of sensationalism.
Dracula is more of a misunderstood case, he was brutal, but brutal to equally brutal invaders, but there is actually documented history there.

Erzebet did nothing wrong. I actually killed all those people. Sorry :(
The Cradle of Filth album is some GOAT tier metal.
Dusk and her Embrace is the only good CoF album
