Québec (my very own homeland) has out-cucked you all, bitches !

"In order to fight transphobia (wtf, I didn't know that it was a thing now) transgenders will be able to change the name on their birth certificate as of age 14. Before that age, parental consent will be required."

This is so brave and 2016 ! Apparently, and I didn't know that, sex changes and "medical treatment" are also possible for kids.

Man. I see most the points of people upset about the bathroom shit and whatnot, but you didn't know transphobia is real? Do you know anyone that's trans?

It's an incredibly hard life, and many times they are met with violence and intense hatred.

Also, this bill does not affect you in the slightest so why do you even care?

Going to post this again because it's one of the best interviews I've seen on the topic.

Do you have an English link? I don't read that surrender language.

Change just the name or the sex on it?

If it's just the name then that's not a big deal if it the sex that would be something different.

Not sure if serious.

It affects me that the society in which I was born accepts the idea of a CHILD changing sex, be it on paper or surgically.

Bleeding hearts like yourself like to come up with the "it doesn't affect you" line, but fuck off, if we only cared about things that directly have a repercussion on our lives, we wouldn't care about much.

I am sure now that trans people are able to change their names, TS is going to be affected every day of hos life. There is literally no action he could take that is not affected by this.

Freedom is dead. The west has fallen. Trans people can change their names.

This is intended to be witty, but it is pretty stupid.

If we cared less about things that affect our feelings and more about things that truly affected us the world would be a better place. Legitimately I feel like it should be capped at 18, but with parents approval it doesn't bother me much. As in I don't give a fuck what they do as it doesn't affect my life in the slightest.

I feel most of my attitude is directed at you scoffing at the idea of transphobia being a real thing.

Edit - so they can change their genders. Yeah, that's stupid.

I was expecting to attacked by all the relativists, but I am a little disappointed that you are ok with that filth.

Combine weakling hipster parents and the possibility for kids to actually change their identity (changing the birth certificate is exactly that) and you'll get a mess.

Let them wait until they are adults until they mess themselves up.

Or the repression of their identify leads them to suicide. You act like it's such an easy decision.

The thing is there are people who feel before the onset of puberty that they are the other sex. It is an incredibly difficult decision to make. But in any case...These folks KNOW what will happen to their body in puberty. And once puberty is over, they actually look their birth sex. So while I agree sex change before puberty is incredibly difficult all around from an ethical pov, I also feel that changes AFTER puberty make considerably less sense and will likely not yield better results.

I didn't initially see the bit about them allowing gender changing, so you didn't get my ninja edit.

I'm not anti-trans people. I'm pro-truth. It's impossible to control someone's environment so until trans people can find happiness within, nothing will change. And I'm afraid we're reinforcing mental illness (gender dysphoria) without considering the consequences and with false pretenses of potentially positive outcomes.

That's an lazy argument.

Parents allowing their kids to smoke/drink doesn't affect ppl directly either therefore ppl should just ignore it?

N were not talking about parents preventing on allowing their kid to change their hair color or have piercings. Were talking about body mutulation.

I don't think you know what a cuckhold is if you think this qualifies.
