Nate fights with the same strategy in every fight... he wants to pressure you and pepper you with volume strikes. He will not implement a specific gameplan to attack Conor unless we see something entirely different from him it is safe to assume he will be attacking Conor in this way.

How does this lead to anything but Nate being TKO'd? He's going to eat kicks to the body and eventually start eating left straights. He is overly reliant on a rock chin and Conor isn't the guy to be testing your chin out on.

Nate would in theory have a big advantage on the ground, but he has no real means of getting the fight there or any desire to try and do so.

He has a longer reach than McGregor and uses it well. He is capable of ducking punches and clinching when the opponent lunges in. If he gets the fight on the ground, McGregor is screwed. And yes, his chin is granite.

I don't think he gets finished in the first round. After this, his chances increase with every minute.

nate beats conor easily because he has enough time to prepare for the fight. The UFC thinks he's a "better" opponent than Cerrone who just fought days ago. So we know his body's not ready to fight

I dont know how anyone can be so sure about any outcome to this fight. They got nothing to go on here, really.

Lots of people thought Michael Johnson was going to wreck Nate, especially Michael Johnson. Nate clowned his ass.

Pretty much this. Writing Nate off is ridiculous. Fight can go many ways,it's really exciting match up imo.

Styles.

They make fights. Nate's style is made to get beat up by Conor. He will be eating body kicks from the opening bell and have no answer to them

we'll see.

The main reason for the predominately expected outcome in that fight (IMO) was Nate's motivation and the fact that he looked so awful in his previous few fights.

He has reach and is a good boxer. If he can't take Conor down he likely gets lit up, but I think it can be competitive for sure.

Clinch, trip take-down, triangle or kimura. Round 1 finish, hype train derailed.

What do you mean he has no desire to do so,how do you know that? I expect Nate to at least try to trip Conor and get him down. Nate and his guys are not stupid, they have been fighting for years, he won't just come in without any type of plan in possibly the biggest fight in his career.

If Nate had a good gameplan he could tie Conor up easy on the ground.

We know it's not going to happen, though. Diaz bros are slick on their feet and Nate has surprised us before. Will be interesting.

he is a really good striker with reach. He out struck Marcus Davis, cerrone and the really fast michael Johnson.
And I think michael jonson beats mcgregor

It's not an ideal matchup. On paper, Conor's speed, power, precision and counter-striking is going to win out against Nate's plodding, boxing-centric stand up.

But Diaz has an awkward, lanky frame and his height/reach could serve him well in the exchanges.

Conor has to be constantly punching up to find his chin which is generally a disadvantage (although Nate doesn't really move his head so...) and if Nate can clinch up he can ideally use his frame to tire out McGregor's shoulders and get some dirty boxing/trips going.

It's a pretty bad fight for Nate on paper but I'm not saying he's dead in the water. If the fight goes beyond 2 rounds (all of Conor's KOs are within 2 rounds), I think Nate can possibly pick things up.

How? It's the FW champion in the WW fight against one of the best, rangiest boxers he has ever faced.

Nate throws so much volume that he might edge it if it goes to distance.

EDIT: Plus, Nate has subbed some legit ground fighters. Conor has no room for error in possible scrambles.

He looked fucking awesome in his last fight...

Are you new to the Scrap Pack? I love Nick and Nate but game planning is not their strong suit. And even if Nate somehow decided he was going to try and take McGregor down it isn't his strength at all. Can anyone recall a fight where Nate made an effort to get a fight to the ground? He just relies on his boxing and if he gets taken down he can work his jits.

Full camp Nate would be fireworks...

I just want to see the thrash talk.

Edit: I hope McGregor gets Nick Diaz after this fight, hahaha
