Kimbo Slice, aka Kevin Ferguson, will return to the ring when he takes on Omaha native and newcomer Tay Bledsoe (2-3, 2 KOs) in a 4 round heavyweight bout on Saturday night at the Heartland Event Center in Grand Island, Nebraska. The well-known and popular internet street

Cool. Hopefully it goes at least two rounds... I'm genuinely curious to see how he does.

lol both opponents below 0.500. wonder how many fights until he gets an opponent above 0.500

if he plays his cards right he'll make a good chunk of change

When a a boxer or MMA fighter(Brock and Jon Jones' first fights were against guys with sub .500 records) first starts out, it is quite common for him to have a bout with a guy with a sub .500 record. The sub .500 fighter with experience is usually favored over the noob as well.

You beat the guy with exp, you get a guy with a better record with exp. It's simple logic.

I realize this. I'm just saying he's a potential money maker so it will probably last a lot longer than usual

Yeah but even then usually they will fight other .500 fighters who are also undefeated since they are also noobs.

This guy Kimbo is fighting is absolutely garbage even with him having more experience. He already have three prior TKO losses and he's a Cruiserweight.

Not always... It's only his second fight, you want him to fight an undefeated contender or something? He's only 1-0 with no amateur background, obviously he's going to take it slow. This is not MMA where you can just jump into world class opponents right after your pro debut. You act as if no boxer has ever fought a can before.

lets be real. you can get a huge fight with your mouth alone. for example, brock and james tonay
