• McAfee says he pushes buttons for fun, and he was surprised Cole crossed the line
  
  
• WWE/NXT did not ask Cole to apologize, he chose to do so. "He's a grown man responsible for his own actions."
  
  
• HHH says McAfee was poking fun at something he's not actually part of despite him occasionally contributing to NXT, which can strike a wrong chord with wrestlers (and he didn't let up)
