"Why is WWE creating a program to recruit college athletes instead of giving a chance to performers who love and live this business and spend years honing their craft on the indies?"

Because they look like this.
I think we´re talking about different things. I´m far from saying everyone should wear their own merch shirt. I think I´ve found the perfect photo to prove my point:

Here you have two guys that look like wrestlers (Masvidal totally gets it) and three that look like random guys in the audience. What I´m trying to say is imho it cheapens the product when you see guys on TV that look like they just came from doing grocery shopping.

I don't think we disagree too much. Lambert, JDS and AA all look pretty much the same in jenas and t-shirts. (Is AA wearing jeans or like dark sweat pants?) So that's a problem, especially given the storyline of them of them being big shot MMA guys. AA should be wearing one of those overpriced track suits like the Russian mob. JDS should be in a suit. Lambert is probably OK looking like an old schlub that uses real athletes to fight for him. This is a case where I think he SHOULD be wearing an ATT shirt, though.

You better watch the first 4 before the new one, Pete!

The killer could be ANYONE.

I actually set out to watch the first one last night but I turned on Peacock and ended up watching Wrestlemania 2 instead

I really love that cage match between Bundy and Hogan
That final scene of Bundy walking back to the dressing room all bloody and exhausted as Hogan poses inside the cage is such good shit, pal

Take her to the new scream instead.
Um...... no she's 8. We'll wait to watch it at home. The movie won't scare her but sudden loud noises hurt her tiny ears. On Halloween she watched the original Nightmare on Elm Street with me and she didn't blink once

I like Jesse working to a match with Hogan on commentary too. “Sooner or later, he’s going to have to face off with me.” It was beyond his usual heel antics, they had to be working toward something that got dropped. Wish we could have seen that in a big program for Wrestlemania

@lakersfan45

I just got sad, all this horror movie talk and it reminded me of renting random horror VHS tapes with my friends in junior high.
Those were some of the funnest days of my life.

For me, it was going with my ole granny to the local lquor store/video rental/ frozen yogurt shop(the 80's were a wild time) and picking up some slasher flicks for her, a wrestling tape for me, a 12 pack for my granpa and some frozen yogurt and spending an awesome Saturday night together

haha I can relate. Even though it was the early 90s, there was a gas station that had fried chicken, video rental and general convenience store shit.
It was the first time I played the Ninja Gaiden arcade, totally different than the NES game.

Another lifetime ago.

That match (and the build to it with Bundy and Muraco attacking Hogan on SNME and breaking his ribs) is one my earliest wrestling memories. I can remember watching that WM and I was freaking out. I hadn't been smartened up yet and I was terrified that the wounded Hogan was going to lose to the monster Bundy.

I think it is interesting how older women in particular use to love wrestling. I remember when I first got into wrestling when I was around 8 my family members would be like "you know your great grandma Josephine is a huge wrestling fan". I remember she use to have her birthday parties on Saturdays in the 90s and she would always go inside in time for WCW saturday night. She was a hardcore fan from way back in the day.

Nick Bockwinkle, Verne Gagne and all the guys from the AWA territory were her favorites

I haven't introduced LTR to any real horror movies yet. He loves fight violence, but I'm not sure how he'd handle serial killers in scary masks. The farthest we've gotten so far has been the Monster Squad and Beetlejuice. Thinking we should try Gremlins next.

I was just talking about how me and my friends would ride our bikes to the video rental store up town and pick out a horror movie and the person working there would call one of our mom's to get permission to rent us an R movie. They'd always be like, "It's a horror movie, not porn."
