PVZ would be more successful against Joanna than Calderwood...

Call me crazy, but after watching Jojo's last few fights... she has awful striking defense. Joanna would light her up immediately and put her away. I think PVZ could hang in the fight for longer. PVZ is pretty quick... she would get lit up too, but I think Calderwood gets finished a lot quicker.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on this.

D1 Calderwood wrestles Paige to a decision. Both get rekt by JJ, though.

Good point, but Calderwood never uses her wrestling. She is too obsessed with her striking and lack of striking defense.

Ever watch PVZ vs Torres? Imagine something similar, except PVZ leaves seizing on a stretcher.

She used a good deal of wrestling against Ham and Casey.

I agree. Calderwood does not have the explosive athleticism necessary to compete with the top of the division. She has some skills but she is lumbering in her approach and that won't get it done against many of the elite ladies.

Calderwood chose takedowns and ground-fighting in this fight:

She has looked slow in the fights I've seen.

They would both get killed, does it matter who would get killed less?

Joanna Champion vs Van Zandt is a fight I would feel uncomfortable watching. it would be a bloody, horrible, prolongued beatdown. like against Penne, but PVZ is really cute and looks like a teenager.

Lol pvZ was in trouble with herring before she gassed out and felice is as mediocre as it gets. Joanna would stomp her in under a minute.

all her deficiencies are things she's brought from her thai fights,...slow plodding, teep heavy style, with zero head movement.....still,she'd wreck PVZ

Right now I don't think either of them do well vs JJ. As for who does better... It doesn't matter, they both won't do well. I still pick Calderwood over PVZ in a matchup. I wouldn't mind if she picked up a L this weekend and got knocked down a few notches.

Joanna Champion bodies both of them in similar fashion. I don't think either would do enough to warrant a comparison.

Both get wrecked imo. I'm not going to be impressed by a title contender until they can show either impressive striking or a better takedown game than Cookie Monster.

Well, based on her overall athleticism I do think that PVZ might fair better against JJ, than Calderwood. But a JJ vs PVZ fight would look like the Penne fight, with PVZ pressing for the TD and getting her face smashed open, and I don't think PVZ would quit either. JBG would be pleased with this fight.

JJ vs Calderwood would end in a 1st round KO because JoJo's head is so very hittable .. and JJ would hit it a lot like a Pinata, lol.
