The strongest weight division ever involving eight boxers within 10 pounds of each other.

Example: Manny Pacquiao, Aaron Pryor, Henry Armstrong, etc.

Instead of ten pounds, let's just collapse the junior and super divisions into the original 8 (IE: SMW and LHW put together, cw and hw together, sw, JFLW and flw together Etc...)

Hmm.. definitely welter weight..ish

I'd go with Duran, Pernell, Ray Leonard, Ray Robinson, Floyd, Chavez, Pryor, Hearns

Bantamweight-ish would make a great tournament too. Rigondeaux, Zarate, Olivares, Jofre, Harada, Marquez, Herrera, Chucho

Michaelzki, calzaghe, Jones, hagler, Hopkins, hearns, toney, ward

JWW

Pacquiao, Tszyu, Pryor, Garcia, Cotto, Judah, Whitaker, Bradley, Chavez Sr, Hatton, De la Hoya.

Marciano vs Frazier
Tyson vs Foreman
Joe Louis vs Sonny Liston
Dempsey vs jack Johnson

L. Lewis vs Ali
Holyfield vs Tuney
Larry Holmes vs Walcott
John Henry Lewis vs V. Klitschko

HW obviously

Not an all timer list but a fun to watch tournament...I've only got 7 listed, left Hagler off because he'd walk through everyone's punches and ruin the fun. Can't think of an 8th slot right now, maybe force Bob Foster to drain himself with today's methods or throw a David Lemeiux or Edison Miranda kinda guy in there...

Interesting how you had that turning out lol

Ring did a WW, MW and LW version (round robin) with modern fighters (they cut out older guys like Canzoneri, for example). I'm listing their results from most wins to least wins.

WW: SRR, SRL, Hearns, Duran, Floyd, Griffith, Pryor, Pac
LW: Duran, Whitaker, Floyd, Chavez, Shane, Carlos Ortiz, Pac, JMM
MW: SRR, Hagler, RJJ, Monzon, Lamotta, Golovkin, B-Hops, Toney, Benvenuti

If I had to make a tournament, it would be a FlW/JFlW/SW tournament. Would have to think over who

Jerry Quarry
