The World Record for non-stop pushups is 10,507 by Minoru Yoshida of Japan on October, 1980.[1]. The Croatian Krunoslav Budiselić is stated as a Guinness World Record holder with 140 pushups in one minute. The world record for most back of hand push ups in one hour is 1781 by Doug Pruden of Canada, 2005[2] The world record for most back of hands one hand in one hour is 677 by Doug Pruden[3

ok, how the fuck can someone do 10507 pushups!?!?!?!?! HOW!

Anyone can edit wikpedia articles. You can go in right now and change the number to 103,030,340 pushups non stop if you wanted

You could also check the sources and see where that number really came from.

Back of the hand? That would snap my wrists off completely. I cannot even do normal hands flat on the floor kind anymore because of my wrists. :(

Yeah pain is all that comes to mind when i think of trying those

When I was wrestling and running track in high school, I could do 100 push-ups non-stop but never timed myself. I could also do 27 pull-ups in a row. Now I can do about 65 push-ups straight and about 20 pull-ups in a row.

I can't imagine anyone being able to do more than 1000 push ups in a row. Hard to believe. Anyhow, real push-ups only count if they are done with palms placed about shoulders width apart (a little more is ok) otherwise they aren't official. Anyhow, I found the records here:

those numbers are true, i saw the other day on TV this croatian Krunoslav Budiselic talk about pushups and how great they are, he told some numbers and i was amazed... i looked up on wikipedia and it was the same numbers he told, so i guess it is true...

I once got 63 in 30s as witnessed by an Army PTI, then I learned to lift properly and found out that high rep pressups were pretty much a waste of my time as far as strength training went and really only had a place for conditioning when placed into circuit style training.

I fucking despise pushups. At one point I was actually able to do more handstand pushups (which are fun) than regular ones.

push-ups without your feet touching anything are the manliest push-ups you can do.

handstand, planche, presses. that's where it's at.

Werd. Basically any variation which takes your mind off staring at the floor as it approaches and recedes over the course of several minutes.
