Push pull or gritty 4way competition

What would you know about it?
Giving you shit for one but I still lifted the same while doing this

And competing in jiu jitsu

However none of that implies that I was training for that sport specifically as I only added hang cleans for getting out of guard this way if I had a chance

Good on you for getting in there. Yes you can lift and do a sport, but you can't do everything at once. It also depends on the person.

Personally, between working from 8am-4pm with 2+ hours of daily commute on top of that, private business on the side, boxing 4 times a week, and doing S&C split between conditioning, power, power endurance, sport specific exercises and the rest I simply cannot improve my big lifts beyond the diminishing returns as it is. I would have to do my S&C mainly as a few specific lifts 3+ times a week if I really wanted to improve at them, and that would be worse for performance.

I lifted too when I was competing, that doesn't mean I was good at either.

I think you can see my striking here was elementary at best. I quit doing it all because of the injuries. A knee injury put me out of lifting and fighting. Stuff like that. Meanwhile never got injured lifting.

2 sets of 9 and 3 sets of 6 with 395lbs diddlies
4 sets of 9 bench press with 265lbs. Doing Smolov for both lifts. Or at least as long as my health allows.

You’ll be in my prayers

Yeah I know what you mean. Ultimately it's about finding something you enjoy doing. I think in a few years when I'm nearing the end of my athletic prime (I'm already 30) I'll start focusing more on just getting strong and lifting. That's the great thing about life, always able to change what you want to do and keep finding ways to improve.

I'm in.

Recent DL max of 575.

Will max on bench next week, but should be 345ish.

5 sets of 7 with 422.5lbs. Not too bad. When I pull the slack out of the bar, 315 comes off the floor without even starting the lift, so I’m getting quite an assist from the flub I think.

Videos of maxes are required by Jan 2 and must be taken of how you finish, sumo and sumo conventional and conventional etc...

5 sets of 7 with 280lbs on the bench, widening my grip has made benching almost effortless.

I’m having trouble with flexibility or rather getting to the bottom. Going to have to film and watch it closely.

I’ve had the same weak bench PR since 2014. Barring injury, I should be able to absolutely crush that by putting an emphasis on it. Hoping for an outlandish 300lbs bench.

I'm using my all time pr's for my starting numbers. 358 bench and 700 deadlift.

I did a ton of close grip stuff during conjugate and it was very uncomfortable. I feel like with my ring fingers on the rings I have found the perfect grip width.

Pause wasn’t as long as it felt. Need someone else to do a command or something but here’s 355 to start me out on Bench

345 with a longer but still very slight pause

1. Your spotters are about 10 feet behind you.

2. We’re not all idiots.

3. I won 600$ at the casino tonight. Wooo

The pause is much much longer in my head when I’m doing it but I gotta say I can’t even see one on the 355. Well as long as I finish with the same type of bench it’s the same I guess. I lost a ton of strength after that stupid shoulder tear. I miss casually benching 365 as part of my workout and not as a max. Think I got up to a triple there at one point with it. Still doing the winging thing. I’m open to suggestion here. I do my physical therapy regimen still, which looks like I’m practicing to be the center of a bukkake video. Basically I’m mimicking jerking off someone with each hand and holding a 10 pound dumbbell. Overhead like I’m doing the y in ymca, behind me, and to the sides. If you can add to that I’m all ears.
Spotter is some random dude who has no chance of catching that weight if I truly failed but it’s a commercial gym and this is what you get. Also why I passed on a lift off.

Congrats on 600 bucks. Strip club?
