I notice Title Boxing has a 12oz size for all of their professional fight gloves:

As far as I know, in professional boxing: 8oz is used for up to Welterweight, and 10oz for any weightclass above that.

Is there a purpose for the 12oz size pro fight gloves in regards to actual matches?

Maybe they're actually "10oz XL", a size offered by a more well known pro fight glove in Everlast Powerlocks?

Or maybe 12oz is used for semi-pro or smoker matches?

I think you're forgetting that people often use pro style gloves just for training. Not just that but half of the gloves brands try to sell as 'pro' gloves arent even authorised under any boards/commissions for competition use, its sometimes just a marketing thing.

Either way I've used 12oz for amateur fights before.

semi pro/smoker matches, but they might also just be how they market their gloves

also those Adidas gloves on the TItle Boxing store.. woah..stupidly priced

Either way I've used 12oz for amateur fights before.
it's 12oz for middleweight and up for AIBA amateur boxers
