Jesus Fucking Christ. I'm starting to feel sorry for Brooks. All these people trying to get into his wallet. I saw a whitebelt attempt at a triangle. That's it. He spent half a round under full mount and never tried to shrimp, hip shift or anything. Just laid there trying to punch from the bottom. Fucking bloodsuckers.

To be fair I think he meant at this level:

Translation: I think he should continue paying me outrageous fees for private lessons, and gym fees too.

Jesus, if I were in his corner, Id leave the spit bucket, and ice and just walk back to the lockerroom. I really wish there was video/audio of his corner during this fight. Honestly, I would watch it in a heartbeat

As a white belt, sure.

Certainly safer than him being a human punching bag in MMA.

He would compete in the blue belt masters division. I think most BJJ coaches want their students to compete. Good thing you guys are here to shit on people actually doing something.

I agree. You won't get punched in the face in a BJJ match. Much better for Punk's health

No BJJ organization will pay him a million to not train and show up unprepared, so he won't do it.

Absolute white belt maybe? I know some blue belts who would tap him in under a minute.

You know white belt masters compete against other white belt masters?

BJJ seems like a much better alternative. 4 years of training should've made him look much better in the striking. He did land some good shots & looked good here & there... but 4 years should've showed up a bit more imo.

I've actually heard a lot about his BJJ skills from several different sources. Strange we don't see it being effective in MMA... but it's also real that many people don't translate it well into MMA. Vitor looks like a fish out of water from the bottom & he's been a black belt since his MMA debut a couple decades ago.

For some reason I thought a certain "Edmond" was CM Punk's BJJ coach.

I think he should give up public competitions.

If he wants to continue training, okay. He can pursue that. But he should not think he's going to do something against a real opponent who's experienced and athletic, because we know he's not going to do shit.

Keep training Punk, but keep it in the gym.

Reread my OP. I'm not shitting on Punk. I'm shitting on coaches telling Punk what he wants to hear so they can drain his wallet. They have him focusing on competition. He should focus on the training and the competition will come. I've seen nothing to make me think they've given him anything more than McDojo-quality training and you know he's paying big bucks. It's fucking wrong. Again, bloodsuckers.
