Hey folks,
I started coaching more and more lately as I've had a fair share of injuries and I need to get another pair of punch mitts as the Everlast gel we've been using in the club are making my elbows hurt when coaching boys that know how to hit big.

I've got me eyes on Rival RPM10 Intelli-Shock, RPM3 Air Focus and Fairtex FMV11.

Any experience with any of these or perhaps some other recommendations?

Can’t speak on Fairtex yet I’ve actually tried on both of those Rival ones. Rival makes a very ergonomic and durable mitt. Rival is so innovative that you have companies like Phenom that literally copy their entire lineup from mitts to gloves.

If you have pain and deal with heavy hitters, go with the air mitts yet understand the punch surface on those are pretty big (they are super light though). You can also grab their paddles for speed work and you’ll be set. I think they have their air mitts in 2 sizes now.

Ultimatum out of Russia also makes a very solid air mitt, yet they don’t ship out anything right now I believe (for obvious reasons).

My advice is to have several sets you alternate through throughout the week, or even day if you’re working long hours. I’ll switch between ringside micros, hayabusa 2.0 (the yellow ones, aka the GOAT mitts) and a custom pair of air mitts I got from ONX before they stopped making custom mitts. Each pair wears on a different part of me so I spread it around evenly as possible.

The Everlast mitts are closer to micro mitts than actual heavy duty curved mitts.

These, for me, are about the standard for a good curved punch mitt. It used to be Ringside but their quality has fallen a little bit and R2C is basically a Ringside clone, but with better quality control.

These are the heavy duty variations. On their site they sell them for $90-100 but for whatever reason they are $65 on Amazon. They can take punishment, but they may get a little sweaty.

These are also solid. You literally just missed a 27% off and free shipping sale:

My recommendation would be the first link. You don't really need to spend anymore than that on a solid pair of mitts. I've tried a bunch and honestly, it is what it is. Sometimes I get paid to hold mitts (not professionally, just for pocket cash) and I don't think I'd need one that costed anywhere near $100. Literally just spent $40 on my go-to micro mitts that I now use for everyone. I could have invested in the Rival's micro mitts for $105 or Winnings or something, but these do just fine for 99.9% of the population (this is also the type of mitt work I'd do with Everlast mitts):
