Puerto Rico votes for statehood. 51st state!

Should the US take Puerto Rico as the 51st State?

  • Total voters
    2
  • Poll closed .
lol, it's not like Puerto Rican hoes aren't in America or American already. I guess if you want more Democratic voters it's cool.

I'll be interested to see how this sorts itself out. The fact that they pay most US Federal Taxes, and we were founded on the whole "no taxation without representation" platform makes for an entertaining tap-dance for political opposition.

Especially if PR elects exit as an alternative, and those same politicians don't want to let them go ...

P.S. Everybody knows they are already US Citizens, right? No matter what is decided, they can still move to Nebraska (or wherever you choose in the US).

Most likely it will go as it has before, to remain the same . That way they get many benefits and not responsibly.

My only objection is that I don't want a flag with 17 rows of 3 stars. Tell those lousy chickens that if they can design a good-looking replacement, they're in.

What's the upside for the other 50 states?

A million more pensioners, whose daughters and granddaughters have already fled to the mainland years ago.

Great boost for the flags industry though!

They're completely bankrupt and after 1 generation of patriotic gratitude they'll all become bitter democrat flag burners making up for-profit oppression stories about how you "tricked" them into joining

Hellz yeah

At least give me a bed outta state to stay in till I get my feet on the ground.

Just come to Texas. As long as you're not a lib, you'll love it here. And if you are, there's always Austin.
