If so what do you like? I love psychedelia, mostly stuff from the 60s and 70s but plenty of more recent stuff too.

Post your favourite albums and tunes in here...you can include anything that comes under the category of 'psychedelic' (like certain sorts of hip hop, acid house etc.)

To begin with a few classics:

A lesser known record that's one of my favourites - The American Metaphysical Circus by Joe Byrd and the Field Hippies. Here's one of the more 'normal' songs but I suggest you listen to the whole thing, it's quite the experience.

I also love some of the Beach Boys post-Pet Sounds stuff, particularly Sunflower, some of it is surprisingly trippy and ahead of it's time. If you weren't told, you'd probably think this was a Tame Impala song (though TP obviously borrow a lot from the older stuff):

But I'll hold off just posting loads of stuff. Please post your favourite albums and songs, whether it's well known or a bit more obscure :)

Eh not big on that type of music. I like more acoustic music like Howie Day and/or Backstreet and Nsync. Also Tech N9ne.

Never heard of this before (my knowledge of hip-hop is incredibly limited, I could list the albums I listen to on one hand probably), but I am liking this. Cool vibes.

I'd say yes. Every once in a while it hits Zappa O'clock and it's time to jam.

yeah, i was a little surprised to see you add hip-hop in the OP. it's out there, just hard to find.

Mudvayne's LD50 album is pretty psychedelic and I like it a lot. Also, most of Tool's albums, which I love.

Yeah when I was thinking of psychedelic hip-hop, this is what came to mind for me:

But I figured there is other stuff that people who are more into it than I am would know about, which is why I added it. Didn't want to confine people to strictly the stuff I like.

Good shit there though, love a bit of Ty Segall.

What's your favourite album? Personally, although I love Dark Side and so on, I am partial to The Piper At The Gates of Dawn.

Dark Side or Wish You Were Here. Easily their two best albums. I think The Wall is highly overrated.

Don't much like The Wall either myself.

If everyone on earth, just one time took 1 hit of acid and sat through Dark Side and Wish You Were Here end to end, the world would become a much better place overnight

No one did it better than the
Germans. They're the most
versatile with the genre.

Ash Ra Tempel is but one
example. They're influenced
by blues, primarily.
