What he took was allowed at the time, but then it made on the banned substance list a few weeks later, it was already in his system, he fessed up to it.

No harm, no foul.

He should not be placed in the same bucket as guys like Werdum, Jones and the rest of those no-good cheating scumbags.

With Jones, it runs in his family. It's like gangster blood.

Heres the problem though,

Machida popped for fucking nothing.

7-Ketodehydroepiandrosterone has no fucking PED use at all, you can buy it over the counter in many supplements and wasn't banned by any state athletic commission.

His suspension was utter bullshit of the highest order.

USADA ruins more careers than stop PED use, Josh Barnett recently joined the ranks of wrongly accused fighters, but not before having the short amount of time left in his career ruined. Machida didn't fight it because the idiot didn't have anyone around him to do that for him - its number 1 bullshit.

There is no need to even have the debate, he's not in the same category as Anderson or Jones.

Machida gets 2 years for making an honest mistake (for which he gained no advantage) which he fessed up to.

Others get a year (or less) for roiding / cheating and lying about it.

Didn't know that but if thats the case then I agree.

I think all fighters should be pardoned so we can make the UFC great again.

Starting by Vitor And Jon Jones

Yeah its ridiculous that people actually consider him a cheat. I don't get it, I'm pretty sure I've even heard Schaub and rogan say he has an asterisk next to him

Rogan should know better but Schaub gets a pass for being completely retarded.

I listen to what he has to say and instantly dismiss it as I would a child with frontal lobe damage.

Tim Means as well. There are probably some other guys who got screwed over.

But guys like Barnett and Jones are the lowest of lows.

Ironically Barnett was right the final time he 'popped' and they let him off.

But even the sentence he got was nothing, yet Machida got destroyed as a first time 'offender'.

Crocop was suspended even tho they never caught a single substance in his system due to self incrimination. It's kinda silly.

Maybe I'm cynical but I have a hard time believing that Machida is not hammering PEDS

Not even sure how they come up with the length of suspension... seems to change or just with each case. Hoping USADA is suffering from CTE after getting knocked out by Barnett.

Machidas was the most ridiculous . Usada is so subjective, I'm surprised there has not been litigation against them

Have you seen him in person? At 205 or 185? Definitely not one I'd suspect of juicing

He's one of the few I don't hold it against cause all the facts are concise regarding his situation and he was very honest and open about it. What he used was perfectly fine for a whole then got added to the list with almost no warning so he was completely unaware.

I'm pretty skeptical of anyone who pops and usually don't have much time for the array of excuses and technicality defenses that follow, but I agree, the Machida one came across as very unfair and I do not regard him a cheat.

And Cro Cop, if you even consider it a cheat
