I am an idiot.

I bought a brand-new pair of red handwraps from CSI last week. I used them a couple of times, tossed them in a mesh bag when they got all sweat-soaked, and threw them in the laundry.

Surprise, surprise. All of my white stuff came out pink. Dumbass!

I'm just venting here. Feel free to share your tales of fight-gear-related laundy woe. :D

I almost did that with my Gi.
I bought white and blue Gi and i was about to wash them together so they'll shrink. Good thing my dad was there to remind me :)

Sometimes I don't even see a point to washing my gear, it stays smelling good for one day then goes right back to smelling like sweaty ass.

I'm not so much concerned about the smell, but with the bacteria that cause the smell.

I got all my whites soaking in bleach right now. My favorite T-shirt to train in is fricking pink. NOT good. :D

lol Some people think if you get good enough it doesn't matter that you wear pink, no one will talk shit.

And yeah I hear ya about bacteria. One of the clients at my store got a Staph infection at Gold's Gym from their lack of sanitation on their equipment and had to have some of his hamstrings removed subsequently.

I'm speechless. I think I'll go wash out my gloves with bleach now. :D

Yeah man, his legs look terrible because of it. Skinny and under-developed. I made fun of him until my manager told me the story.

My wife does that. When I do the wash, I'm lazy and just stuff it all into the washer.
