Im getting tired of the basic Strawberry or Banana protien shakes, i know i can google some recipes but curious on any unique flavors or favorites you sherdog use
From the FAQ ---> http://www.sherdog.net/forums/f15/unofficial-sherdog-protein-shake-recipes-how-thread-430362/ That said, here's mine, which isn't in there: 1C grass fed raw milk 1C skyr (grass fed if you can get it) 2 scoops vanilla whey isolate 1-2 raw pastured eggs 1 squirt vanilla extract a few heavy dashes of cinnamon This tastes like Jesus. Basically a meal replacement, or just use it PWO if you're trying to get beefcaked.
2c - pure cranberry/water mix (pre mixed as we drink alot of it) 2c - frozen blueberries/raspberries/strawberries/cranberries (mix & match as you see fit) 2c - organic vanilla whey protein 2 tablespoons - flax seed oil
added nesquick, fruits, bananas, ice cream and vanilla/cinnamon to your shakes can really get them better. something else is to buy plain protein and then flavor it however you want (check out the site in my sig for this).
I don't measure anything, probably noobish, but I eyeball and keep it consistent that way (more or less). The ingredients are probably more important anyway. Frozen Berries - Raspberries and Blue Berries are optimal because they are small and blend easily. Strawberries bounce around too much. Ground Flax Seed - Alittle fiber, alittle unsat fat, why not? Chocolate Protein Powder - I used to use Syntha-6, now I use TP.com Kefir - Plain, adds a little pre/pro biotics to the shake Milk - Just a little, then I slowly add more if it's too thick to blend I blend at low speed because I think the consistency is better. I used to add whipped cottage cheese for extra protein but it's kind of high in sodium.
Eat meals, the only time you should drink a shake is once waking up, postworkout, or before sleeping...
Not exactly sure what prompted you to 'contribute' this gem... Mine - For every 250ml of milk (homogenized) -1 scoop whatever protein powder I use -1 or 2 raw eggs -1 banana -2 tablespoons peanut butter Might try adding some cinnamon though, sounds tasty.
1 1/2 scoop protien chocalate 3-4 frozen strawberries handfull of frozen blueberries 2-3 1000 mg vitamin c pills 1/2 - 1 full tray of ice cubes ... makes it seem like icecream ... icecubes are a must 1-2 raw eggs 1-2 banana's honey i make this 2-3 times per day and share it with my 3 kids ... these shakes are awesome when the kids hear the blender running they comming running with cups in hand ready to get theyre share ..
