Props to the UFC - they took the right decision and this is why (IMO).

The fact is that Zuffa gave Conor the rematch to begin with. They never should have done that. But seeing as how they did. That ungrateful fuck should have been kissing Zuffa's ass.

They gave him the rematch allowing him to duck defending the belt. Which is something they have NEVER done before. He was going to make $10M.

While I would certainly enjoy watching Conner get throttled again this is obviously much better for the card. The fans win.

The UFC still grants him all this and he can't hold up media obligations cause he has to train. I'm sorry but 550 other UFC fighters seem to hold up their end of the deal why can't you.

I don't think this is the end of this, there were articles before the Diaz fight about a growing rift between Conor and the UFC and Conor wanting his own promotion. Although the UFC flexed its muscles and have the legal high ground, both sides lost a lot of money with this battle, and I think the war will continue.
